FAQ
Interested in pilates, but have some questions? Here are the answers to our most frequently asked questions. Feel free to contact us for any further information!
-
What if I am Brand New to Pilates? It is imperative that you complete a New Client Special (2 private hours of instruction at a reduced rate) before you join a group at the studio. A reformer is a spring loaded moving apparatus and needs to be handled cautiously. You will learn your settings, modifications and adjustments, so that you can make the transition to groups smoothly.

-
Do I need a high level of fitness in order to participate? No! The beautiful thing about reformer pilates is that exercises can be modified to support the needs of all ages, genders and fitness levels.

-
Can exercises be modified if they are too challenging for me? Yes! Conversely, exercises can also easily be made more intense for those that are looking for more.

-
What should I wear to class? Guests should come dressed in exercise/comfortable clothing. Specific socks and shoes are not necessary, as exercises on the reformer are done in socked or bare feet.

-
What if I’m not flexible/weak in my core? Pilates is designed to meet the client where they are, and assist them in meeting their fitness goals. Exercises can easily be modified to meet your current needs, and with regular practice, flexibility and core strength will both improve!

Can I bring a friend? Does price change in this instance? Yes! New clients booking a New Client Special in pairs or groups of three are charged a different rate than those booking as a sole participant. The New Client special is $149 for two private hours, per person. The New Client Special for pairs is $179 and the NCS for groups of three is $269. This is a rate reduction, per person, of over 40%.
